Gurez the untouched beautiful valley located in the higher himalayan ranges of Jammu and kashmir's northern part, 123 km away from Srinagar. Gurez Valley is the beautiful mixture of mountains, valleys, and rivers accompanied by the asia's largest freshwater lake Wullar.Gurez valley stretches to Drass in the east, Sharada Peeth in the west, Baghtor in the south and Burzil Pass in the north. The Gurez Valley in older times connected Kashmir to Gilgit-Baltistan by silk route.Today the Gurez valley is part of the both India and Pakistan with Tulail and Dawar in Indian side and Burzil pass in Pakistan The Trek starts here in Gurez and making its way through Satsar and Gangabal via Zajibal and joginai pass to reach the last destination. some of the highlights which make this trek worth attention are high altitude deep alpine lakes, naked mountain peaks, flower valleys cattle feeding meadows, freshwater rivers

Required Fitness

• You should be fit fit enough for a minimum daily activity of 5 hours
• Trek: up to 6 kms per day.
• Carry: up to 3kg in a day-sack.
• Terrain: snowy, icy, rocky,uneven, sometimes altitude up to 4400m.
• Weather and climate: Can be rainy for a while sometimes, Can be sunny in valleys and cold and windy at high altitudes. June and September months are cooler than those of July and August.
• Swimming is not required the guides will assist you at stream crossings
